Hello there! Thanks for stopping by to check out my work. My greatest passion is photography, I just love everything about it. I truly feel this is what I placed here to do. I am a professional photographer based out of Church Hill, Tennessee. I am also a volunteer photographer for the National Park Service. My work has been published by National Geographic YourShot, Shutterbug Magazine, B & H Photography, Blue Ridge Outdoors, Landscape Photography Magazine and Smoky Mountain Living to name a few. Most all of my work is created by using natural light, I would say a good 90% of it.

I specialize in a vast array of different types of photography, landscape, nature, portrait, documentary and architectural.  I love having a variety and I love the different challenges each one brings. If you like the work I create, please head over to my Facebook and Instagram accounts. I post new content on each of these platforms regularly.

If you do see a photo on here you would like to purchase a print of, please head over to the contact page. Fill out the form and I will reach back out to you (usually within the day).

It’s been a little while since I last blogged and really I just couldn’t get motivated. My Papaw passed away and that got me in a slump and like everything else, life kept happening. The timing chain in my SUV went through the engine (how that happens I don’t know), my wife and I bought our first home and we have had to do all of the paper work for that along with moving and renovating. Don’t get me wrong, I am not complaining at all. I am very blessed, I have just been extremely busy. I have been taking pics during all of this as well, there has also been plenty of times I have told myself that I need to do a blog on that.

I have sold images to magazines, shot a custom wall wrap (25 ft wide by 10 ft tall), filled a new mental health hospital with large canvas prints (some are 9ft long) and sold some images to some really large corporations. That being said, that is a whole other blog post to come! Nothing like a tease right? For this blog I want to show you some of my favorite shots...

It's been a while and a lot has happened since my last blog post. I spent the majority of December and January taking care of both my grandparents as they were not doing well. My Grandfather, Hobert "Ray" Delph passed away at the end of January, it was like loosing a father. To be honest, I haven't done much over the past few months, I did document the struggle my Grandparents were going through, but that is for another time.

March arrived and I was itching to get out. I worked through the week, I researched and researched what I wanted to do. Eventually, I decided it was time to get back out along the Blue Ridge Parkway. My friend Nick mentioned to me that I might want to try the Pounding Mill Overlook, I had been here a hundred times and had never thought to do a sunrise here. The plan was set and 3 a.m. came quick come Saturday morning. I left Church Hill, TN excited and couldn't help but to think about what I may capture as the sun began to rise. The two hour drive seemed to go by q...

Bays Mountain Park and Planetarium is located in Kingsport, TN and is a local favorite, people come to hike and view wildlife exhibits. Bays Mountain does have a fee of $5 to get in or you can by a yearly pass. There are many great trails at Bays Mountain, the most popular being the Lakeside Trail, it goes along the edge of the lake for a 2.3 mile loop. Other popular trails include the Fire Tower Trail and the Pretty Ridge Trail, you can even hike into Lauren Run Park from Bays Mountain. The best time to go though, is Autumn. Bays Mountain Park and Planetarium is so beautiful in Autumn, the colors reflecting onto Bays Mountain Lake or along the trails are some of the best in the region. In our area, most people go to the Great Smoky Mountains to enjoy the color, but if you are wanting to avoid the big crowds or if you just want something closer to the Tri-Cities, Bays Mountain is your place.

My favorite place at Bays Mountain to take in the color is along the Lakeside Trail. You have a...
